Presenting Scripture with Worship Manager

Putting Scripture on screen should be fast enough that it never interrupts the reading. Worship Manager’s Bible tab is built for that: pick a passage, click a verse, move on.

Open the Bible tab

Press Ctrl + B or click Bible.

You get:

• Translation, book, chapter, and verse selectors
• A Blank Display toggle
• Settings for overlay appearance
• A scrollable list of verses for the current chapter

Choose a translation

Worship Manager includes several common translations, including:

• KJV
• NKJV
• NIV
• NLT
• AMP
• AMPC
• TPT

Pick the one your church uses for the service (or match the preacher’s preference for that message). Switching translation reloads the books and keeps you in a sensible place in the text.

Jump to a passage

You can work with the selectors, or start typing while the Bible tab is open — Worship Manager focuses the book field so you can move quickly.

1. Select the book.
2. Select the chapter.
3. Select or click the verse.
4. The verse is sent to the display overlay (with a reference label).

Use previous / next navigation to walk through a reading without returning to search.

Presenting during a reading

Typical live flow:

1. Land on the starting verse before the reader begins.
2. Advance verse by verse as they read.
3. CLEAR OVERLAY when the reading ends if you want the background to remain.
4. Or CLEAR DISPLAY if the next moment needs a clean screen.

Blank Display

Same idea as songs: enable Blank Display for text-only Scripture, or leave it off when a media background should show behind the verse.

Pin verses you will revisit

Right-click a verse → pin it. Pinned Scripture shows up under Pinned (Ctrl + P) with a clear label like NIV John 3:16. Handy when a message jumps between two or three texts.

History also records recent verses, so if you need to go back mid-sermon you often do not need to re-navigate the whole book.

Customize Scripture overlays

Open Settings in the Bible tab. You can adjust:

• Font, size, color, and text shadow
• Alignment and on-screen position
• Whether the reference label sits above or below the verse text
• Background color, image, and background mode

Take a minute before service to check readability on the actual projector — what looks fine on a laptop can be light on a bright sanctuary wall. Shadows and contrast help a lot.

Operator tips

• Confirm the translation before the service starts
• Pin the sermon’s main texts in order
• Practice advancing through a long reading once
• Keep clear-overlay on a keybind you can hit without looking
